Colleges reap the benefits of collaboration
SACRED Heart College (SHC) and St Joseph’s College (SJC) are committed to providing students the greatest opportunities to study the subjects they are passionate about.
To enable both of the schools to offer a broad range of VCE subjects, SHC and SJC have for many years offered co-instruction to senior students.
Combining the number of students who wish to study subjects that have lower participation from the two schools provides St Joseph’s and Sacred Heart’s VCE cohort with an opportunity they may otherwise not have to study the subjects that mean the most to them.
St Joseph’s and Sacred Heart College senior students also collaborate in a number of shared co-curricular activities, including the new Call it Out Podcast, annual International Women’s Day (IWD) Respect Cup, Catholic Leaders of Geelong Schools (CLOGS) Winter Ball, the fundraising Tri-UMPH Music Festival and the Combined Schools Musical Theatre Production.
