Coonawarra’s best pours into Geelong for one-night
Wine lovers will have the chance to sample more than 100 wines from one of Australia’s most celebrated wine regions when the Coonawarra Wine Tasting Roadshow arrives in Geelong later this month.
The travelling event will stop at the Royal Geelong Yacht Club on 26 June, bringing up to 16 wineries from South Australia’s famed Coonawarra region together under one roof.

Guests will be able to meet winemakers and winery owners, sample a wide range of wines and learn more about the region’s 131-year winemaking heritage without leaving Victoria.
Hosted by the Coonawarra Vignerons Association, the roadshow is taking a different approach in 2026 by focusing on regional Victorian centres rather than capital cities, with events also scheduled for Ballarat and Warrnambool.
Acting executive officer Heidi Guyett said regional Victoria had long been one of Coonawarra’s strongest supporter markets.

“Regional Victoria has long been one of our strongest supporter markets and we are excited to once again bring the wines and personalities of Coonawarra directly to local consumers,” she said.
The tasting will showcase the region’s signature cabernet sauvignon and shiraz alongside white wines, sparkling varieties and emerging styles.
Participating wineries include well-known labels such as Wynns Coonawarra Estate, Parker Estate, Majella Wines and DiGiorgio Family Wines.
More than 100 wines from vintages spanning 2018 to 2025 will be available for tasting, with many producers also bringing a “mystery bottle” – often a museum release or back vintage – to highlight the ageing potential of Coonawarra reds.
“Whether you’re a seasoned connoisseur or new to the world of wine, the lineup promises something for everyone,” Guyett said.
The Geelong tasting runs from 5.30pm to 8pm on Friday 26 June at the Royal Geelong Yacht Club.
Tickets are available through the Coonawarra Wine Region website.
