Country music heads to Torquay
Nashville country musician Jackson Dean is heading down under for his On The Back of My Dreams world tour with performances across metro and regional areas.
As part of his tour, Dean will play some of his biggest venues yet, including a stop at the Torquay Hotel on October 8.
The American made his mark on the music scene in 2022, when he was compared to the likes of Chris Stapleton upon the release of his breakout single Don’t Come Lookin’.
The release had multiple weeks at #1 on the Australian Country Radio Chart, was the fastest debut to reach No 1 in the US, and featured in TV series Yellowstone.
Dean’s debut album Greenbroke followed the single, before he hit the tour circuit on the Brooks & Dunn’s Reboot 2022 Tour.
His return to the stage in 2025 coincides with the release of his most recent album, On the Back on my Dreams.
Joining him on tour is Australian musician Austin Mackay who has a strong stage presence and has captivated audiences around Australia with a sound that blends melodies with country.
Throughout his career, Mackay has supported the Dreggs, Brad Cox, Thirsty Merc, Max McNown and more.
Over the past three years, the musician has taken to stages in Australia and New Zealand, playing sold-out shows and cultivating a strong following on Spotify.
