AUSTRALION electronic duo Peking Duk are set to bring their high energy antics to Torquay next month.

The two-piece group comprisng Adam Hyde and Reuben Styles will perform a live DJ set at the Torquay Hotel on April 17 as part of their Thrills Tour.

Known for their catchy beats and energetic live performances, Peking Duk has won two ARIA Awards, have gone 26 times platinum, and are nearing one billion combined streams.

Hits such as High, Stranger, Fire, and Fake Magic are just of the chart-topping anthems to bring the duo plenty of success.

Styles said the Torquay show was likely to get pretty wild.

“The bar has been set for crazy madhouse, and that is right in Torquay.

“The Torquay gigs are absolutely insane. There’s people hanging off the rafters.

“Without a doubt, they go harder than any other regional show in Australia. I can’t wait to get back there!”

He said he looked forward to spending some more time down in Torquay outside of the gig.

“Torquay is beautiful. The beaches are stunning, the restaurants, and the scene there is really high quality.

“Maybe it’s the Byron Bay of Victoria. I’m sure Mornington would love to fight over that one.

“I love everything about Torquay and wish I could spend more time there in general.”

He said Torquay eventgoers could expect to hear some new tracks from their debut album, which is coming in the next months.

New single Thrills is also on the way and much anticipated by their strong fanbase.

“In 15 years of Peking Duk we’ve never embarked on a journey quite like this before,” Style said.

“Hilariously, we’ve been working on this exact record for two years.

“We are trying to make it as special as we can. It’s something we’ve wanted to do.

“Torquay will be a good opportunity for us to road test some stuff we’ve never played. It could go one of two ways. We are hoping it goes great, though.”
