AUSTRALIAN electronic duo Bag Raiders are sailing back into Barwon Heads this summer and are sure to bring the good vibes.

The pairing of Jack Glass and Chris Stracey will be lighting up the Barwon Heads Hotel on January 9.

Active for close to 20 years, Bag Raiders burst into the limelight with their self-titled debut album in 2010.

The album peaked at number seven on the ARIA Albums Charts, while hit song Shooting Stars became a huge hit, peaking at 38 and going four times platinum.

Sunlight followed in November and became another top single, before Way Back Home took off in Germany following its use in the German Vodafone TV advertisement.

Shooting Stars became popular again in 2017 after circulating in an internet meme featuring people falling over with surreal, spacey types of backgrounds.

Bag Raiders released their second studio album Horizons in 2019 and have some new music to follow in the imminent future.

The band said they couldn’t wait to get down to Barwon Heads for a boogie.

“We are very pumped to come down and play some tunes for the legends at Barwon Heads! Always a good time down there and we love a beach town so we are keen to get amongst it.

“We love a sunburnt country, a rugged coastline and a dip in the ocean before and after we play a set. The crowds down there really know how to let loose and have a great time!”

They said to expect a wide range of music at the show, including some dance floor heaters.

“There’ll be a lot of our old music old and new, and some so new it’s top secret!”

Tickets to the Bag Raiders show are selling fast and are available via Oxtix.
