Before Christmas and the end-of-school concerts take over, pull out your diaries and schedule some time to take in a show or several at the Potato Shed.

October begins with a tribute to the undisputed Queen of Country, Dolly Parton. The Dolly Show features multi-award-winning UK-based Kelly O’Brien as Dolly.

A must-see event on Friday, October 6.

Then on October 8, Damon Smith returns with his latest show, Crazy Arms, Damon’s homage to the greatest pianists throughout the ages.

The Potato Shed’s most requested show ever, The Elvis Presley Show, returns this Sunday, October 1 for a special one-off repeat. October Morning Showtime sold out in record time, so book now.

Goddesses of Jazz bring their finely attuned harmonies to the Shed on October 14. From Simone to Piaf, from Billie Holiday to Dusty Springfield, this show will be a delight for the senses.

Geelong Harmony Choir will then take over on October 15. Hugely entertaining and a celebration for one and all. With multiple passports and a new home here in Australia, comedian Ivan Aristeguieta brings his sparkling wit and Spanish take on what it is to be an Aussie in his stand-up show, Citizen, on October 20.

Damian Callinan (Mayor for a Day; The Merger) returns with Double Feature, a tale about his mum and dad and all the skeletons rattling around in their respective wardrobes on October 22.

November Morning Showtime, presented by Glenn Douglas, focuses on two giants of country music, Glen Campbell and Frankie Lane on November 14. Morning tea included.

 

The 2023 North Bellarine Film Festival returns with the best of local film talent from November 17-18.

The show you didn’t know you were waiting for, Otto and Astrid Joint Solo Project, lands on November 22. Book now and luxuriate in the sounds of the self-proclaimed “Best Band in the World”.

Morning Showtime finishes on a high when Mr Entertainment, Issi Dye brings his special Christmas Show for a morning of greatest hits and Christmas cheer on December 5.

Make sure you book early for a ring-side seat at the Potato Shed’s annual free Season Program Launch on December 6. The launch always sells out, and there will be special guests performing on the night.

The year will end with Theatre 3222’s annual 12 x 12 Plays. Local writers work will be realised by local directors and actors from December 10-12.
