GEELONG Youth Choir is inviting all music enthusiasts to join in as they announce their upcoming concert performance.

The Celebration of Song concert will captivate audiences, featuring performances from three choirs.

The heartwarming and powerful song “You Will be Found” from the musical Dear Evan Hansen will see the choirs come together in an uplifting

and uniting piece.

Director of music Phillipia McQuinn is thrilled to present the world premiere of The Little Gray Bird, in an exclusive performance.

“It has been a wonderful experience working through a piece that tells a story,” she said.

“It allows the students to explore various emotions and different singing styles, all in one piece.

The performance also provides an opportunity for those interest in joining the choir to get a feel for their programs.

“The Cantore Choir have worked tirelessly in and out of rehearsals learning music and words, and they are very excited to be sharing their hard work with the audience at the concert.”

Voices of Geelong, directed by Kym Dillon and made up of singers of all ages working to an advanced level performing music in a range of styles, will also take the stage.

The Geelong Youth Choir and Voices of Geelong welcome new enrolments for semester 2, 2024.

“The Celebration of Song concert is also a great opportunity for people who are looking for a choir to come along and see what we have achieved,” Ms McQuinn said.

“We warmly welcome families who are looking for a singing group for their children to come and get a feel for the fantastic programs on offer.”

The Celebration Song concert will take place on June 19 at Deakin University’s Harrold Mitchell Performance Hall.
