December 1, 2023 BY

Just 25 minutes out of Geelong, you can discover world class wineries and food, and even let the local tour companies drive you around.

In Victoria, we are blessed with so many wonderful places to discover including the lesser known but just as charming, Bellarine Peninsula. Now with a new accommodation option, there really is no excuse.

Coastal Glamp resides on the property of Bellarine Estate winery, behind the Cellar Door, among the vines, just outside of Portarlington. Each waterproof tent offers fully furnished bedding, rugs, fan, lighting, coffee table and an esky, so guests will have everything they need for a relaxing and indulgent escape underneath the stars. The beautiful space can accommodate a number of tents in different formations, allowing for couples, families or small groups to enjoy their own space, giving you the freedom to explore the wonders of the peninsula, whilst providing a unique, fun and welcoming experience.

Just 25 minutes out of Geelong, you can discover world class wineries and food, and even let the local tour companies drive you around. The wonderful little town of Portarlington is well worth a visit. Incredible beaches such as Ocean Grove, Barwon Heads and other local gems such as Clifton Springs, St Leonards and Indented Heads are nearby, or take a short drive to Queenscliff and Point Lonsdale. Fun activities such as Adventure Park, golf, mazes and railways await for the little ones, and for the adults there is the Q Train, The Mussel Festival and The Blues Train, as well as the Olive Grove and the Orchid Farm, all a short drive away.

Return to base, relax with your partner and a glass of wine. Outdoor games will keep the kids (or you and your mates) happy, and lunch and dinner are available right on your doorstep. The family-owned and operated winery was established in 1996 and there are 30 acres of vines including Shiraz, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Chardonnay, Viognier and Sauvignon Blanc. The food menu revolves around the delicious smokehouse, and specialities include their American BBQ Sampling platter, often combined with live blues music.
