METRICON Homes will celebrate the Year of the Tiger on Thursday, February 10, with an exclusive online cooking tutorial hosted by MasterChef’s youngest ever contestant Jess Liemantara. The popular dessert queen will share her take on Grandma’s classic traditional pineapple cookies.

Since appearing on MasterChef in 2018, where she wowed judges and won many fans, Jess has been busy perfecting her craft while putting the finishing touches on her first patisserie in Melbourne and will demonstrate her take on a traditional recipe that celebrates her Asian heritage in the luxurious kitchen of Metricon’s Franklin 50 show home.

Jess is excited to guide guests through how to make the delicious treat for Lunar New Year and will also be available for live online Q&A to help participants following along from their own home.

“We’re bringing in the Lunar New Year with good luck and great fortune. Delicious food is an inseparable part of every Lunar New Year,” Jess said.

“It’s the sixth year in a row Metricon will be formally celebrating this auspicious occasion. Best of all in 2022, you don’t need to leave your home to get some quality culinary knowledge.

“In non-COVID times, Metricon have held gatherings of dinner, dance, and performances but this year have switched to hosting this virtual event so that they don’t have to imply very limited guest numbers but can still celebrate with a recipe that signifies prosperity, happiness and abundance.”

The recipe covered in the event is suitable for beginners as well as the more experienced cook looking to add to their repertoire.
Expect a simple, honest recipe, with readily available ingredients, easy-to understand steps, written instructions and live question and answer time with Jess to guide you.

Attendees will have the chance to walk away with a range of delicious prize packs.
