A THREE-NIGHT live music series featuring a mix of nationally acclaimed and emerging artists is set for Anglesea this May.
The Sound Doctor will present three shows across the Mother’s Day weekend at the art deco Anglesea Memorial Hall, bringing a diverse mix of local and touring talent to the coast.
Rising Naarm punk band Public Figures headline the series with a rare all-ages, alcohol-free show on Friday 8 May, promising raw guitars, big voices and a strong sense of community.

On Saturday 9 May, acclaimed singer-songwriter William Crighton makes his Anglesea debut, touring his new album Colonial Drift. Known for his blend of folk, blues and storytelling, Crighton has built a national following.
The weekend closes on Mother’s Day, Sunday 10 May, with beloved roots duo Mama Kin Spender, whose afternoon set will showcase rich harmonies, magnetic stage presence and an infectious energy.
The Sound Doctor founder Dr David Corbet said the program reflects a commitment to youth-led music experiences in regional communities.
“We’re stoked to have Public Figures coming as a collab with Amplify and the Lorne P-12 College,” he said.
“Bringing artists of this calibre into a small coastal town is incredibly special.

“You don’t have to travel to the city to feel something profound in a room full of people – we can create those moments right here.”
The Sound Doctor continues to build a reputation for curating thoughtful, high-calibre lineups and creating memorable live experiences.
“Live music isn’t just entertainment, its about wellbeing, belonging and creating shared experiences that make a place and people feel alive,” Dr Corbet said.
The organisation was recognised as Best Regional Venue at the 2024 Music Victoria Awards.
Tickets for all three shows are available via thesounddoctor.info
