Shannon Noll celebrates 20 years
Shannon Noll is headed to Geelong with his That’s What I’m Talking About 20th Anniversary Tour.
The regional and metropolitan performances will celebrate 20 years since the release of Noll’s multi-platinum debut album.
Touring for the first time in more than a decade, Noll will play most of the songs from That’s What I’m Talking About as well as some of his biggest hits, including “Lift” and “Shine”.
“It’ll definitely be a different type of show, much more storyline based and just celebrating still being here after 20 years, which I’m pretty stoked about,” he said.
“To be able to play to the younger generations that have had their parents listening to the songs over the years, that will be a real highlight for me.”
Along with the tour he will also release a 20th anniversary edition of his first album, which will include the original 12 recordings and two new songs.
The anniversary edition will also feature a collaboration with “What About Me” songwriter Gary Frost, and a duet with fellow Australian Idol finalist Cosima De Vito.
In 2003, Noll was part of the first season of Australian Idol and he made it all the way through to the finale at the Sydney Opera House, finishing runner-up.
He has since releease seven ARIA top 10 albums, and his hit song “What About Me” was the highest selling Australian single in 2004.
He also has plans for a future album and will be getting straight back into the studio once the tour is over.
Noll will perform at Costa Hall on April 19.
