TORQUAY is on track to have its first MRI with Vision Radiology preparing for a delivery of the advanced body imaging machine.

To be located at the Torquay Medical Hub, the MRI will be an addition to the comprehensive diagnostic medical imaging and interventional radiology services already offered at the provider, that’s owned and operated by a group of locally trained radiologists and sonographers.

“Our aim at Vision Radiology is to contribute to delivering accessible and high-quality imaging services, to positively impact the health outcomes for all in the region,” Consultant Radiologist Ben McDonald said.

Bulk filling is offered for most services at the centre including CT and Ultrasound guided interventional procedures.

Other services include X-ray, Ultrasound, Low-dose CT, Bone Densitometry, Cardiac and Dental imaging.

“We’ve been delighted by the support of the medical and patient community,” sonographer and partner at Vision Radiology Torquay Samuel Powell said.

“We plan to expand our services to include MRI in early 2023. Our MRI will be the first for the Torquay area.”

Vision Radiology’s service expansion mirrors that taking place at many of its multiple clinics in metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria, including recent installations of MRI’s in Bendigo and Shepparton, and plans for another in Ballarat.

Vision Radiology is located at the Torquay Medical Hub, Suite G06, 1 Cylinders Drive, Torquay.

Opening hours are Monday to Friday between 8.30am-5pm (closed on public holidays), and there is ample free parking on site.
