A treasure trove of collectables
MORE than 100 stalls will fill the Geelong Showground Agriculture Hall this Saturday (December 14) for the Collectables Swap and Sell event.
Hosted by the Geelong Bottle and Collectables Club Inc, a range of items will be on offer from coins and porcelain through to old bottles, signs and much more.
Event organiser and club life member David Smith said there will be plenty of unique items up for grabs throughout the day with organisers even unsure what might turn up.
“There will be some great bottles from Geelong for sale, some top end bottles as well as a couple signs, there will be some gems which you don’t expect, a lot of lifetime collections are being dispersed by some of the sellers.
“If you like quirky Christmas gifts that don’t involve plastic and buy nothing new, it’s a great place to find them.”
Sellers will be made up of members from within the club, with others coming from right across Victoria and some from interstate, ensuring a broad range of products.
“With a bigger range of sellers, you never know what you’ll find that you don’t need,” Mr Smith said.
“Come along and support the sellers in these tough times, get that quirky Christmas gift for your loved one or for yourself and put it under the tree.”
Event organisers hope people who head along to the event will get some enjoyment out of strolling around and looking at the objects of desire.
Entry is $5 per person with children under the age of 16 free, electronic payment is available if needed.
The event will run from 8am until 2pm, late stall holders are welcome to attend and can enquire by calling Mr Smtih on 0419 434 306.
