Barwon Health Foundation to celebrate 30th anniversary with Catwalk4Cancer event
ONE of Geelong’s favourite fashion fundraisers is back tomorrow evening, as the 2022 Ena Pelly Catwalk4Cancer event celebrates the 30th anniversary of Barwon Health’s Andrew Love Cancer Centre.
Hosted by the Barwon Health Foundation at the Geelong Arts Centre, the event promises to be a night out for a worthy cause, supporting cancer patients in Geelong in securing better and more accessible care.
After a two-year break due to pandemic restrictions, a new format in 2022 will offer an immersive fashion experience for all.
The event’s popularity is also set to expand even further with the announcement of the region’s own Australian-leading label, Ena Pelly signing on as the naming rights sponsor for the event.
Barwon Health Foundation executive director Zoe Waters said to date the event has raised more than $380,000 in support of local cancer patients and their families.
“We have hosted 11 incredible Catwalk4Cancer events so far but 2022 is going to be particularly special thanks to the exciting new format and undeniable emotion of the 30th anniversary of Barwon Health’s Andrew Love Cancer Centre,” she said.
“The centre has touched the lives of thousands of local patients and their families over three decades.
“If you or a loved one have had a connection to the service since its establishment, this is the event for you.”
Local style guru Deni Todorovic is set to MC tomorrow evening’s event and looks will be display from Geelong retailers Tinky, Chez Ma Belle, Birdskin, Pearls and Roses and Salt & Soda.
All items are set to be showcased by models from Duo Management, with hair and makeup by Tess Holmes.
A host of generous sponsors have contributed tremendously to the highly anticipated return of the event including The Geelong Arts Centre, Cancer After Care Group, Gartland, Charles Rose, Luminosity Skin MD, Aidacare and Igby Productions.
