Beyond Bank commits to community support partnership for region
TWO local organisations will continue their enduring partnership for a further three years in an effort to support the Greater Geelong community.
Give Where You Live Foundation has received a renewal of financial commitment from Beyond Bank, following its recent merger with AWA Alliance Bank.
Originally founded in 1969 as the Point Henry Credit Co-operative at Alcoa, Beyond Bank has been dedicated to making a positive impact in the region for more than 50 years.
As a long-term supporter of the foundation, Beyond Bank has in recent years become a platinum partner and one of the foundation’s largest corporate contributors.
Outgoing GWYLF chief executive officer Bill Mithen said he was thrilled to have Beyond Bank’s continued support.
“Over the Give Where You Live Foundation’s 70-year history, strong corporate support has been the backbone of the organisation,” he said.
“The partnership with Beyond Bank is vital in supporting the foundation’s work to create a fairer and more equitable G21 region.
“Together, we are committed to creating lasting change and ensuring that everyone in our community has the opportunity to thrive through a focus on food security, homelessness assistance, and inclusive employment.”
Beyond Bank community development manager Cameron Murnane said the bank continued to be excited to be involved in making the local community better.
“We’re delighted to continue our partnership with the Give Where You Live Foundation to continue making a positive impact in the Greater Geelong community,” he said.
“We see it as our job to be involved in making our communities better. Our partnership with the Give Where You Live Foundation aligns with that ambition.”
