Body discovered in Corio Bay

POLICE will prepare a report for the coroner after a body was located in Corio Bay in central Geelong earlier today (Wednesday, October 13).

In a statement this morning, police said officers responded after a body was discovered in waters near Griffin Gully Pier, to the east of The Esplanade, at about 6.15am.

The circumstances are yet to be established and an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
