THE Gordon TAFE and the Geelong Chamber of Commerce have launched a new program that will help regional leaders go to the next level.

Designed to allow individuals and industry to keep pace with the ever-evolving world of business, The Leadership Edge program will help participants to stay ahead of the curve with tailored training solutions designed to equip participants with the skills necessary to navigate today’s complex and dynamic business landscape.

The six-month program, launched last month, is a series of in-person and virtual workshops, including monthly opportunities for networking.

Aimed at emerging business leaders across small, medium and large organisations, the program will raise the leadership profile and professional networks of individuals seeking to boost their capabilities and lead their teams towards a successful future.

Leadership Edge features a pre-training leadership assessment and debrief, individual coaching sessions, workshops, and a capstone project to solve sector/organisational-based challenges and explore key business opportunities.

“In partnership with the Geelong Chamber of Commerce, The Gordon is thrilled to introduce The Leadership Edge, a six-month program tailored to meet the dynamic needs of modern business,” The Gordon chief executive officer Joe Ormeno said.

“This program is custom designed for both small business leaders and those in larger organisations who are looking to significantly enhance their leadership effectiveness.

“Through immersive workshops, coaching sessions, and real-world projects, participants will gain the tools to excel as individuals, team leaders, and drivers of business growth.

“This aligns perfectly with The Gordon’s mission to be Geelong’s go-to training partner, ensuring our community is skilled and ready to meet the challenges of the 21st century.”

Geelong Chamber of Commerce chief executive officer Jeremy Crawford welcomed the industry-immersive program for Geelong’s business community.

“Participants will gain real time experience through Chamber events, networking, and access to opportunities to apply their learning as they progress,” he said.

“It’s important we continue to provide opportunities for business to invest in themselves, their employees, and their business.

“The outcomes achieved through The Leading Edge will provide invaluable experiences for business leaders and owners well into the future.”
