GEELONG United has secured a major backer ahead of its inaugural WNBL season, with real estate agency Buxton jumping aboard the club as a major sponsor.

United announced the partnership on Tuesday this week, recognising the ongoing commitment the agency has had to junior and women’s basketball in the region.

Buxton has more than 160 years of experience in the property market, providing support and guidance to clients in achieving their real estate needs.

“We are thrilled to show our continued support to associations that encourage community participation in sport and foster wellbeing and a sense of belonging in regional areas,” Buxton Real Estate chief executive officer Marcus Williams said.

“With a strong presence across many of Victoria’s regional and major cities, we recognise the important role our agents play in supporting their local community to pursue their property dreams, so it’s important to give something back to the neighborhoods that supports us.”

Buxton Real Estate has joined Geelong United as a major sponsor.

Geelong United Basketball general manager of partnerships and marketing Connie Bolger said the club is excited to welcome Buxton Real Estate as a major partner for the 2024-25 season.

“We look forward to working together to support our athletes and build a strong community around women’s basketball,” Ms Bolger said.

In the club’s announcement, Geelong United says the partnership reflects a shared dedication to supporting local talent and encouraging an active lifestyle.
