DOLLAN Transport will join a rumbling chorus of 120 trucks and motorcycles on February 19, to raise money for children living with cancer.

Little River trucking business owner Tom Dollan said the idea to join the annual Camp Quality Convoy in 2023 began with his team of workers.

“The idea to join the convoy actually had nothing to do with me, it all came from the people that work for the business,” Mr Dollan said.

“When I heard it, it seemed like a fantastic idea, we’ve donated funds to a bunch of charities in the past, especially to kids with cancer, so I thought it would be a good thing back.

“I can’t wear too much of the credit, it just shows that we have a really good group of guys that really do care about the community.”

The 60km Convoy begins and concludes at Avalon Raceway, passing locales such as Lara, Corio, Waurn Ponds, Belmont and Geelong, with 123 confirmed trucks and motorbikes dedicated to raising funds for kids’ cancer charity Camp Quality.

Dollan Transport has four of the vehicles in the convoy, each truck driven by a member of their staff.

Team leader Jacob Nadolski said the team had already surpassed its goal of $1,000, currently sitting at a total of $2,953 raised (February 7).

Little River transportation business, Dollan Transport, will provide four vehicles to the Camp Quality Convoy Fleet on February 19.

“We’ve been putting the fundraiser up online with a bit of social media advertising, spreading the word among family and friends,” Mr Nadolski said.

“I had seen the convoy around online, and pretty soon after asking the guys, we were keen to take part.

“We’ll be getting the trucks clean and ready, going for a drive on the Sunday around Geelong, it should be good day.”

Anyone with a truck or motorbike can still join the convoy with registrations closing on February 13.

Spectators are being encouraged to cheer on the trucks streetside and enjoy a “trucking good time”.

Rides and entertainment will also start from 10.30am at Avalon Raceway on the day. Vehicles are expected to arrive back to Avalon Raceway around 11.00am. The convoy will officially begin at 9.00am.
