Caravanning and adventure event expands
INTEREST is running hot in the coming Geelong Caravanning & Adventure Leisurefest, with organisers having to find 25 per cent more space to accommodate a slew of companies trying to show their wares.
The event at Geelong Racecourse is less than a month away from rolling into town for the first time, featuring more than 100 confirmed exhibitors.
“The team at CIV is accustomed to finding solutions to challenging situations that arise at our leading industry shows, though in this case the demand has forced us to remap the show and work with Geelong Racing Club and exhibitors to find more space,” Caravan Industry Victoria (CIV) chief executive officer Daniel Sahlberg said.
“And we’ve succeeded in finding an additional 10,000sqm of exhibition space to accommodate demand, taking our total to over 40,000sqm.”
Presented by CIV, the Geelong Caravanning & Adventure Leisurefest includes new experiences, big energy, and a full-on celebration of the lifestyle that caravanning and outdoor adventure unlocks.
“It’s the last Victorian caravan show of the year and our members are gearing up to clear stock before the new year. So we believe there will be big end-of-year buying opportunities for those in the market,” Mr Sahlberg said.
Randy’s Junkyard will be bringing all the thrills and entertainment you could want. With jaw-dropping stunts, roaring motorbike engines, and heart stopping action, this is something you won’t want to miss.
The RV Master Mainstage will also feature presentations from Award RV Superstore on the essentials to pack if it’s your first time camping, caravan towing tips on weights from PNL 4WDriving. The Feel Good Family will be talking about their experience and adventures on the road with plenty of tips and tricks, plus live music from Dean Betts.
There will also be children’s entertainment and food trucks.
The Passport to Freedom competition returns, offering a chance to win a Dreamhaven 15 Series Tourline Caravan by Crusader Caravans, valued at $68,990. The competition runs across the Bendigo and Geelong Leisurefests, with guests who scan all six checkpoints across the show earning 10 entries.
The Geelong Caravanning & Adventure Leisurefest will be open on November 28 and November 30 from 9.30am to 4pm, and on November 29 from 9.30am to 5pm.
Adult tickets are $15, with entry free for children under 15 free when accompanied by a paying adult. Dogs are welcome.
