THE Christmas spirit keeps growing in Little Malop Street as the Geelong City Market continues every Saturday, filling the CBD with festive flavour, handmade gifts, summer produce and community vibes.

For families and lovers of all things sweet and nostalgic, the market will host Laura’s Gingerbread Decorating Workshops for two special festive appearances this Saturday, December 13 and on December 20.

Expect icing, sprinkles, lollies, and plenty of edible creativity. These will take place throughout the day, so keep an eye on the times that suit you.

Also this Saturday and on December 20, Anther Distillery will run a summer cocktail demonstration. The Anther team will showcase how to mix, shake and stir festive drinks using local botanicals and clever seasonal techniques, perfect for Christmas entertaining.

“The market is truly at its best this time of year,” market director Simon Toohey said.

“Christmas brings out the heart of Geelong – connection, generosity, great food, and community spirit. Every week offers something new.”

Each week, the market transforms the Little Malop Street mall into a lively laneway filled with fresh produce, flowers, summer fruit, local gifts, and ready-to-eat treats from some of the region’s best.

Stallholders include:

  • Two Tins Patisserie
  • Mrs Brown Bakes
  • Soli Farms
  • The Local Cafe
  • Geelong Regional Olives
  • Mi Shells Seafood, and
  • A rotating lineup of ready-to-eat vendors.

Musically, there are roaming performances throughout each morning and live music on the stage at 10am and 11.30am.

The Geelong City Market takes place every Saturday from 9am to 2pm.
