A CHERISHED community choir of about 40 singers will celebrate its 75th anniversary this Sunday, May 18.
The Geelong Chorale will present ‘Timeless Voices – Celebrating 75 Years of Choral Masterpieces’ from 2.30pm to 5pm at All Saints’ Anglican Church in Newtown.

There will be an eclectic mix of soul-stirring musical gems, with madrigals, sacred music, opera choruses, art songs, folk songs, spirituals, jazz and contemporary pieces being offered in the beautiful historic bluestone church.
During the performance, which is led by conductor and musical director Allister Cox, the audience will be treated to the voice of local soprano Lisa Breen.
The choir is in parts accompanied by Patrycja Radzi-Stewart on the violin, Ilana Idrus on the cello, Kristine Mellens on the piano, and Ken George on the organ.
The event will conclude with a social gathering with the choir keen to for the audience to linger and chat.

Ticket holders are invited to join a celebratory supper with sparkling wine, something savoury and something sweet.
Admission is $35/$30, with free entry for those 18 years and under.
Tickets are available through trybooking or at the door.
