THE Geelong community is invited to attend three information sessions to learn more about the Armstrong Creek Sports Centre.

As part of the upcoming sessions, attendees will have the opportunity to hear more about the plans for the facility, see concept designs and raise any questions about delivering the centre with the project team.

Sessions will be made up of two face-to-face drop-in sessions and an online webinar.

Biyal-a Armstrong Creek Library will host the two in-person sessions, the first tomorrow (Saturday, October 26) from 11am until 12.30pm and the second on October 29 from 5.30pm until 7pm.

The online session will take place on Wednesday, October 30 from 6pm until 6.30pm.

Development Victoria’s Group Head Civic Infrastructure Hannah Clement said the sessions are a chance for locals to gain more information about the facility and its benefits.

“We are looking forward to delivering this new sporting facility which will provide more opportunities for the community to get active, as Armstrong Creek and the Greater Geelong region continue to grow.”

Delivered as part of the Victorian Government’s Regional Sports Infrastructure Program, the centre includes four indoor multi-sport courts and a new plaza, to be discussed in further detail at the sessions.

The Expression of Interest process recently closed for the head contractor, with shortlisted bidders progressing to a request for proposal stage.

Those interested in joining the online webinar must register online where they receive a link to the session.
