ANOTHER Kardinia Park Stadium Trust Festival of Sport is in the books with more than 3,000 people enjoying over 30 sports activations on Sunday last week.

All Ability Sports were a major focus for Kardinia Park Stadium Trust this year. Sports such as wheelchair rugby gave the community a chance to try out some of these sports.

Taking place on Anthony Costa Oval, the free community Festival marked the fourth time the Festival of Sport was held at the Kardinia Park precinct in central Geelong.

Sports on offer throughout the day included Aussie rules, cricket, rugby, netball, disc golf, pickleball, and Japanese drumming, with more than a dozen community organisations advertising their services to the community as well.

The festival also served as an opening act to the Melbourne Renegades’ Big Bash League clash with the Perth Scorchers inside GMHBA Stadium.
