A NATIONWIDE initiative to connect women in their local communities has taken a successful first step in Geelong.

Connected Women, a national networking organisation for women, secured more than 50 signatures at its Connected Women Geelong launch day, held at Lifestyle Bellarine in Leopold.

Connected Women co-founder Phoebe Adams said she was incredibly proud of Geelong’s Connected Women community connecting with one another on the launch day.

“Seeing so many happy women connecting with others is truly the reason Steph [Leibovich] and I started this business.

“It warms our hearts to witness the positive impact of fostering friendships, support, and empowerment among women in our community.”

Geelong’s Connected Women launch day was held at Lifestyle Bellarine in Leopold on May 20.

Ms Adams said Connected Women was based around offering a wide range of activities catering to a diverse raft of interests, with more than 60 local area groups located across Australia.

“Right here in Geelong, we have such a range of activities, whether it’s attending makeup and style sessions, joining wine tours, participating in learn-a-language groups, or simply enjoying casual coffee meetups, we strive to provide a variety of opportunities for our members to connect, learn, and have fun.

“We want every woman to find something that resonates with her and enhances her experience within our community.”

Ms Adams’ fellow founder Steph Leibovich said it was an easy decision to launch a new local area group in Geelong.

“Geelong is a vibrant and welcoming city with a strong sense of community,” she said.

“We were inspired by the incredible potential for women to come together and build meaningful connections in this dynamic and inclusive environment.”
