Connecting not-for-profits with funding support

The Surf Coast Collision team is on board to guide customers through every stage of the repair process.
BEYOND Bank Australia and CBB The Salary Packaging People joined forces to curate and facilitate a breakfast concept aimed at connecting the not-for-profit sector with funding opportunities within the Greater Geelong region.
“[We] put the event together to provide the regions NFPs and charitable organisations with a unique opportunity to: gain useful insights into funding opportunities, tips and advice for successful grant and partnership applications, opportunities to connect with local funders and NFP peers in a welcoming and relaxed space,” Beyond Bank community development manager Cameron Murnane said.
Mr Murnane, based at the bank’s Malop Street branch in Geelong, was delighted with the full capacity attendance at the event, which took place at the Novotel.
“We thought the opportunity would be well received but to have 140 attendees and 100 per cent attendance was more than we could have hoped for.”

The event brought together the regions four major philanthropic funders: Zac Lewis from Give Where You Live, Geelong Connected Communities’ John Fitzgerald, Geelong Community Foundation’s Amy Waters and Cynthia Scherer from the Anthony Costa Foundation.
With MC Roxie Bennett leading the panel discussion, the audience received firsthand, insights into the Geelong Philanthropic landscape.
David Marshall Beyond Bank CEO and Kylie Daniels, National Community Development Manger re-enforced the Banks’s commitment to the Geelong region as evidenced by their continued major partnerships of Give Where You Live Foundation and Geelong Connected Communities.
The morning was highlighted by the bank’s announcement of a new Named Sub-Fund with Geelong Community Foundation.
Since merging with AWA Bank in 2024 Beyond Bank have continued to make an impact in the region, evidenced by the success of this event.
