Corangamite CMA chair, board members depart
THE Corangamite Catchment Management Authority (CMA) is undergoing a period of renewal, farewelling four long-term board members, including chair Cath Jenkins.
Fiona Cummings, Ken Latta, and Lia Sarto also conclude their tenure, having collectively contributed over two decades of dedicated service to the Corangamite region and its natural environment.
Cath Jenkins has served as chair of Corangamite CMA since 2021 and as Chair of Vic Catchments, the peak body representing Victoria’s 10 CMAs.
Her tenure has been marked by strategic vision, strong governance, and a deep commitment to community, sustainable agriculture and environmental stewardship.
“Cath’s leadership has ensured the CMA remains deeply connected to its regional community, championing innovative approaches to natural resource management and actively supporting Landcare and rural women’s networks,” Corangamite CMA chief executive officer Dr Amber Clarke said.

As chair of Vic Catchments, Ms Jenkins played a key role in fostering sector-wide collaboration and elevating the profile of CMAs at state and national levels.
Departing board members Ms Sarto, Mr Latta and Ms Cummings have each brought unique expertise and passion to the organisation.
“On behalf of our staff, partners and stakeholders, I sincerely thank our Chair and all of our outgoing members for their incredible contribution,” Dr Clarke said.
“Each has helped shape our strategic direction and strengthen our governance.”
New board members will be appointed by the Minister for Water following a public application process.
