Dawnbusters fun run to support charity foundation
HUNDREDS of locals will enter the new year fit and firing taking on the Dawnbuster Fun Run to raise funds to support Geelong and its people through the Give Where You Live Foundation (GWYLF).
The annual 5km fundraising run is at Geelong Waterfront at 7am tomorrow (Saturday, December 31), and will be brought to the community by the Geelong Cross Country Club in partnership with GWYLF.
GWYLF chief executive officer Bill Mithen said the scenic journey along the Geelong Waterfront would bring in runners of all ages and levels.
“The Dawnbuster Fun Run is a great way to end the year and kick start your New Year celebrations while supporting the Geelong community.
“It’s always great to see the community come together, with runners of all ages and fitness levels joining in the Dawnbuster Fun Run to raise funds for the Give Where You Live Foundation.”
Since 1954, GWYLF have existed to drive social change across the region, endeavouring to make a better and fairer society through creating opportunities and removing barriers to participation. They hope that the community will come together on December 31 to help make a more equitable and stronger G21 region.
Registrations are still open online at givewhereyoulive.com.au or on the day from 6am at the Carousel with registration for adults $20.00 and children (under 16) $10.
