More than 100 golfers from over 25 local businesses will tee off on Friday, February 7, at Curlewis Golf Club for the community at the 33rd e&s Golf Classic to raise funds for the Give Where You Live Foundation.

For the first time in the event’s history, a new addition will be on the card, with ‘Driving for Change’ offering an exciting opportunity for golfers and non-golfers alike to get involved.

Designed to suit all levels of golfing experience, Driving for Change will take place at The Range @ Curlewis and will include time in the driving range bays, a friendly round on the mini golf course and finish with lunch at Claribeaux at Curlewis Golf Club.

Participants in the new event can expect a day of fun and laughter on the range while raising important funds for theGeelong community.

Acting CEO, Give Where You Live Foundation, Kristi Clapinski said the e&s Golf Classic is an integral part of the Foundation’s fundraising efforts with the event typically raising over $100,000 each year.

“The annual e&s Golf Classic is always a highlight on the Foundation’s events calendar, with golfers from a range of local businesses coming together to enjoy a great day out on the course, while also raising vital funds for the Foundation,” she said.

“Since its inception in 1992 this event has raised over $2.2 million for the Geelong community.

We’re thrilled to introduce Driving for Change this year and look forward to welcoming a new group of supporters to join in the fun.”

This year’s event will again be played at Curlewis Golf Club, one of Australia’s top 100 golf courses.

It will be an exciting day with a range of great prizes up for grabs including a brand new VW car valued up to $40,000 in the hole in one competition, thanks to Rex Gorell Volkswagen.

Proceeds from the e&s Golf Classic will support the Give Where You Live Foundation’s work to help create a fairer community, through a focus on food security, homelessness and inclusive employment across the Geelong region.

The event is presented by e&s, with Adroit Insurance & Risk sponsoring the Luncheon, and generously supported by The Sharp Group, with Curlewis Golf Club the venue sponsor.
