According to a video posted on the Seismology Centre’s Twitter account about 10 minutes ago, the earthquake had an preliminary magnitude of 5.3 and had its epicentre near Licola North (south of Mount Buller and north of Traralgon), about 100km east of Melbourne.
The earthquake lasted as long as 20 seconds in some parts of Victoria, with people posting on social media that their houses were shaking and that objects had fallen over.
More to come.
