Entries open for Geelong Business Excellence Awards
ENTRIES are now open for the Geelong Business Excellence Awards which will feature 20 categories celebrating small, medium and large businesses across all industries.
The Geelong Chamber of Commerce is calling on local businesses, business leaders and young entrepreneurs to enter the 2021 awards which will be held on October 14.
Chamber CEO Ben Flynn said this year’s awards would recognise the region’s clever, creative and resilient business community which had pivoted during extraordinary circumstances but was now moving forward with confidence.
“Geelong businesses are agile and we can’t wait to celebrate their achievements of adapting, surviving or thriving in one of the most challenging business and economic environments in history,” Mr Flynn said.
He said the annual awards provided entrants, finalists and winners with a range of opportunities and experiences which extended far beyond simply being a winner.
Business Awards manager Tennille McInnes said the awards were a chance for businesses and organisations to take stock and celebrate everything their team had contributed during the past year.
“The entry process helps you articulate what your business does, how you do it and why you are unique,” she said.
Information sessions will be conducted online where prospective entrants can learn more about entering and how to write a successful submission.
Past winners and judges will also be available to provide advice and answer any burning questions.
Entries are now open through the awards website and can be submitted until July 16, 2021.
Businesses, business leaders and young entrepreneurs do not need to be nominated to enter the program.
The Geelong Business Excellence Awards are supported by major sponsors, LBW Business + Wealth Advisors and Deakin University.
