THE St Joseph’s College Geelong Fashion Dinner is on again this year, and ticket sales have just opened.

In its 24th year, the Joeys Fashion Dinner continues to raise much-needed funds for St Joseph’s Vocational Secondary School in Kensekka in Uganda.

Through support from major sponsors Gartland Real Estate, SipSip by 63 and The Ponds, St Joseph’s College is providing ongoing opportunities to the Ugandan community.

Joeys principal Tony Paatsch saw first-hand the impact the St Joseph’s Community support was having on the people of Kensekka earlier this year.

“The region is disperatively poor with most families living from what they can grow.

“In providing education, we provide hope and the opportunity for a brighter future.”

The Vocational School continues to grow each year, with expansion of subjects and learning opportunities for not only the students but also their families.

This year, the St Joseph’s College Fashion Dinner will focus on raising funds to build a Science and Agricultural Science building on the school grounds.

Students will be taught brick making and bricklaying (along with tailoring) and will help construct the Science blocks themselves, putting to use the skills they have developed throughout their classes.

The Joeys Fashion Dinner will celebrate its 24th year in 2023 and is a highly popular event as well as an important fundraiser.

At the Fashion Dinner, the Eyewear On Pako Runway will have its regular Geelong fashion houses Ena Pelly, Elm Lifestyle, Ghanda, St Goliath, Eddy Elias, Own Kind, Shortlist, Pearls & Roses Bridal and lifestyle and The Collective Hub, alongside newcomers Pre-Loved Geelong and Stevie.

Models will showcase the latest spring fashion, with opportunities to purchase outfits straight off of the runway on the night.

Gartland Real Estate will be live auctioning eight prizes, but those who prefer a quieter bidding approach can take part in the silent auction, with all items donated by Geelong businesses.

The St Joseph’s College Geelong Fashion Dinner will be held at Mt Duneed Estate on October 20 from 6.30-11pm.

Tickets are $120 per person (which can be bought individually or in tables of 10), and include a three-course meal, a SipSip by 63 cocktail on arrival, and a donation to St Joseph’s Vocational Secondary School in Kensekka.
