TICKETS are still available for next week’s G21 Annual Regional Forum, to be held at RACV Torquay Resort.

The full-day forum is organised annually by G21 Geelong Region Alliance and is described as the Geelong region’s most important networking event for the year.

Attendees will hear the latest from Infrastructure Victoria, state government ministers and local experts as the G21 member municipalities grapple with housing, skills, transport and what G21 refers to as the “astonishing momentum” of Australia’s fastest-growing region.

Speakers include:

  • Victorian Minister for Regional Development, Water and Equality Harriet Shing
  • G21 First Nations – A Regional Conversation, in which members of the inaugural G21 First Nations Pillar share their priorities for our region, and
  • Infrastructure Victoria deputy chief executive officer Dr Allison Stewart on the subject of transport and housing, and unlocking the state’s potential in a booming economy.

ABC journalist Ali Moore will host the event, which typically draws a crowd of up to 300 people and typically sells out.

Seats are filling up fast, and organisers have urged people to book their tickets quickly.

The G21 Annual Regional Forum will be held at RACV Torquay Resort on Friday, July 28 from 8.45am-3pm.

The event includes morning tea, lunch and post-forum drinks and canapes.

Sponsors of the forum include the Transport Accident Commission, WorkSafe, Times News Group, Deakin University, WestWind Energy and Urbis.
