Gateways appoints new CEO

NOT-for-profit Geelong-based community organisation Gateways Support Services has announced Rohan Braddy as its new chief executive officer.

A highly experienced CEO, Mr Braddy joins Gateways after many years at the helm of Werribee disability services provider Mambourin Enterprises.

The Gateways board announced the appointment last week.

Gateways chair Keith Ballie said Mr Braddy was chosen after an extensive and extremely competitive selection process.

“This is an exciting time for Gateways as Rohan is a future focused, for-purpose leader who will positively impact how we support our participants and their families.”

Mr Braddyis deeply experienced in the disability sector; a respected leader and the Board Chair of National Disability Services (the peak body for Australian Disability Services Providers).

“Gateways is an outstanding organisation with a long and proud track record of providing high-quality, person-centred services,” Mr Braddy said.

“It will be an honour to lead this great organisation.

“I look forward to meeting and working with the board and staff, in conjunction with the people Gateways supports and their families and carers, to ensure Gateways is well placed to continue to deliver excellent services into the future.”

Mr Braddy’s first day in his new role will be April 26.

Gateways provides services to more than 1,900 children and adults with disabilities and their families in the western half of Victoria each year.

It sees its mission as empower and support children and adults who have a disability and/or additional needs and their families to maximise their quality and enjoyment of life, potential, positive relationships within the community.

The organisation has its head office in Geelong but also has a presence in Footscray (serving western Melbourne), Werribee and Warrnambool.
