GAWS selects cute and cuddly animals for 2025 Graduate Calendar
GEELONG Animal Welfare Society has picked the cute and cuddly animals that will grace the pages of its 2025 GAWS Graduate Calendar.
The lucky group of GAWS graduates to feature in the calendar include canines, felines and guinea pigs who have now found their forever homes.
The 13 winners were selected from more than 115 entries lodged by pet owners during the winter period.
This year’s calendar theme was ‘Show us your pet at their cheekiest and cutest – if you can catch them in the act!’.
Pets needed to have been adopted from GAWS to be in the running for inclusion in the calendar.
GAWS chief executive officer Helen Cocks said the calendar is a great way to share the stories of the loved animals who got their second chance of a happy, healthy life.
“GAWS relies on donations, both monetary and goods, from the public to invest in each animal that comes into our care,” Ms Cocks said.
“We have thousands of animals admitted each year who have their individual vet and care requirements met.
“Our calendar is one way people can financially support us and our vital work.
“Every calendar purchase helps.”
The calendars will go on sale in the middle of October.
All proceeds from sales will go towards the costs of nursing animals to good health and preparing them for rehoming.
The 2025 GAWS Graduates Calendar will be available to buy for $20, either online or in person.
Physical copies can be picked up from GAWS at 325 Portarlington Road Moolap or at the GAWS Op Shop in Hamlyn Heights.
