Geelong Beer Festival frothing to go

THE final touches are being put on this year’s Geelong Beer Festival, which will again present an afternoon of fine brews and entertainment tomorrow (Saturday, January 20).

Festivalgoers will be able to craft their own adventure in the picturesque surrounds of Johnstone Park.

Sip and sample from a diverse range of local and national brewers, distilleries and wineries.

Other attractions include:

  • Live cooking demonstrations at the Culinary Stage showcasing local ingredients with culinary names including Maestro chef Adrian Richardson and Steven Nichols from Workers Barbecue
  • The Masterclasses will be fun and informative with brewer forums, trivia, beer/food matching, free tastings and more delivered by local industry stalwarts Tiffany Waldron and Lindsy Greig
  • The Sound Lounge will deliver roving and interactive performances with the Ale Capones, DJ and saxophone sets, dance competitions and a not-to-be-missed finale from the Piano Bar’s Andy Pobjoy and the Ale Capones
  • Electronica duo Bag Raiders will headline The Main Stage with a DJ set, supported by local favourites Famous Will and local covers band Madhouse, and
  • Roving performers, children’s entertainment and family-friendly activities.

The Geelong Beer Festival will be held in Johnstone Park, Geelong- within easy walking distance of Geelong railway station – tomorrow from 12 noon to 8pm.

The fun continues at the official after-party at The Inn Hotel from 8pm, featuring a DJ set from Cosmo’s Midnight plus supports.
