Geelong’s car market is shifting into high gear this week, with one of the region’s biggest automotive groups gearing up for a major three-day sales event.

The second half of November is a key period for retail momentum, and the city’s automotive sector is seeing strong buyer interest ahead of summer.

After a volatile period for used-car prices, stability is returning to the market — and value-conscious households are taking notice.

Blood Motor Group, which operates across six major marques in Geelong, is preparing for what could be one of its busiest weekends of the year.

From Thursday 13 November to Saturday 15 November, all three of the group’s showroom sites — covering Mazda, Hyundai, Kia, Chery, GWM Haval and Suzuki — will take part in a coordinated event offering genuine savings across new and used vehicles.

Buyers purchasing any in-stock vehicle will also receive a $500 gift card, adding extra incentive during the high-demand weekend.

“Customers are focused on value for money without compromising on quality,” said Blood Motor Group director Brian Blood.

“The market is as competitive as ever, with new entrants, but with Blood Motor Group brands we have the perfect mix of new and used petrol, diesel, hybrid and electric cars to suit all preferences.”

Coordinating across three large dealership sites requires serious planning and teamwork.

He said the timing is no accident.

“Manufacturers like to clear current year stock with genuine savings in the last few months of the year.”

With Q4 typically one of the strongest periods for local automotive spending, multi-site events like this often draw customers from Bellarine, Surf Coast and Golden Plains.
