Geelong Decanted’s first event was held yesterday (Thursday, June 26) and continues on Thursday, July 3 at Geelong Cellar Door, with eight producers from Moorabool Valley, Barrabool Hills and the Surf Coast pouring wines and sharing stories.
The line-up includes Provenance Wines, Austin’s Wines, Barwon Ridge, Lethbridge Wines, Bellbrae Estate, Reed Wines, Nicol’s Paddock and Mulline Vintners.
The third event, on Thursday, July 10, will showcase the Bellarine Peninsula, with tastings from Oakdene, Leura Park Estate, Yes Said the Seal, Circulus Wine and Jack Rabbit Vineyard.
Wine Geelong president Sam Vogel said the tastings offered a chance to connect with winemakers and discover what makes each sub-region unique.
“We’re excited to be coming together as an important contributor to the Geelong epicurean scene,” Mr Vogel said.
“Geelong Cellar Door is a huge supporter of our local wine producers and winemakers. We’re very grateful to Jon and his team for hosting us at this beautiful venue, and we hope people come along to discover the incredible selection of wines he has on pour.”
Tickets are $45 and include unlimited tastings, a $15 wine credit and the chance to buy bottles on the night.
