GEELONG United is spreading the word on suicide awareness and prevention tonight (Saturday, May 6) at The Geelong Arena, as Lifeline Round takes centre-court.

Lifeline Round will be marked from May 1-7 across Geelong United Basketball games, with the association showing its support for Lifeline Geelong & South West Victoria’s critical role in the community with the ‘A Dollar for Lifeline’ campaign.

For every ticket sold to tonight’s NBL1 South game night between the Geelong United Supercats and Mt Gambier, $1 will be donated to Lifeline.

“Geelong United Basketball is very pleased to partner with Lifeline Geelong & South West Victoria for our Lifeline Round,” Supercats player and lifeline ambassador Ella Tofaeono said.

“As a basketball community, we are thankful for all the work Lifeline does, and we are grateful for the opportunity to promote awareness of and raise some much-needed funding for Lifeline Geelong & South West.”

Geelong United Basketball is also donating $1 from the sale of every drink purchased from the Gage Roads Brewery Bar at Geelong Arena tonight.
