SUPPORT service provider genU is inviting the community to come celebrate the halfway point of the year at its Winter Solstice Fair.

Tomorrow’s (Saturday, June 22) free event at Eastern Hub Community Centre will have a strong focus on inclusivity and community.

The Winter Solstice Fair will feature indoor and outdoor market stalls, Kelly Sports, an animal farm, music, African drumming and much more.

Director of Community at genU, Glen Snowden said the event was a great opportunity for people of all ages to get out of the house during the colder weather.

“We take pride in understanding our community’s needs and are always looking for opportunities to help build inclusive communities.

“We’ve put a real focus on making sure the fair has something for everyone, with a diverse list of activities for people of all ages to enjoy some entertainment and experience our community spirit.

Mr Snowden said many of genU’s clients including people with disability, ageing Australians, students and job seekers would assist with the delivery of the day.

“Our clients are keen to be involved and will be available to host tours for anyone who might want to book a room in the future.

“Eastern Hub continues to grow in popularity, with the local community embracing the opportunity to enjoy each other’s company in a vibrant setting.”

The Winter Solstice Fair will kick off at 9am and run until 2.30pm.
