gforce to host first public CareerQuest
GEELONG residents will have the chance to attend CareerQuest, a careers information event targeted at school leavers, job seekers and people already working but thinking of switching jobs or careers.
Hosted by employment and recruitment organisation gforce, CareerQuest will be held in central Geelong and feature industry experts, recruiters, support services, training providers and educators.
At gforce’s first public careers event, attendees will have the chance to prepare a resume, profile suitable careers, speak with industry experts and co, discover apprenticeship pathways, find out how labour hire works and apply for real jobs.
Recruitment services manager at gforce Peter Rowe said running the CareerQuest event would help to get more local people into the workforce.
“Our mission is to empower everyone to seek a job and be successful at work.
“According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, the number of vacancies now is almost twice what they were in February 2020.
“In Geelong, we are seeing vacancies with employers all across the board.
“In partnership with leading educators, training providers and support services, we want to help our community on their pathway towards employment, and further to that, to achieve the benefits of employment, for themselves, their families and greater for our community.”
Mr Rowe said the gforce team was thrilled to be hosting the event and continuing their full-service employment programs that have assisted all jobseekers, participants and employers for almost 40 years.
CareerQuest will be held on November 10 at 36 Little Myers Street, Geelong.
The event will be free to attend, and tickets can be reserved via searching “CareerQuest” on eventbrite.com.au
