GMHBA appoints new director of clinical care
GMHBA has appointed Janine Haigh as its new director of clinical care.
The not-for-profit health insurance and care company said in a statement that the senior leadership role will be accountable to lead and oversee all clinicians in the Eye Care, GP, Dental, Physiotherapy and Hub locations.
Chief Operating Officer Natalie Lanarus welcomed the news.
“It’s a huge benefit to our members and patients to have Janine join our team at GMHBA, as her wealth of clinical expertise and genuine passion towards improved patient outcomes is an important addition to our amazing organisation.”
Ms Haigh has over 25 years’ executive leadership experience within ASX-listed companies, private equity and not-for-profit organisations.
Most recently Ms Haigh was the general manager and director of Nursing at The Geelong Clinic. She also held the same role at St Helens Private Hospital, Geelong Private Hospital and St John of God Healthcare.
GMHBA recently won three Five Star awards in the annual Canstar Health Insurance Awards.
The company took out the Outstanding Value Hospital Insurance Award category in Victoria, Queensland and the Northern Territory.
It is the second year in a row GMHBA has won the Outstanding Value Hospital Cover for Victoria.
Ms Lanarus said GMHBA was committed to delivering exceptional healthcare experiences.
“Now more than ever we know that our members and patients are focused on their health and wellbeing, and we have an important to role to play in supporting them on their health journeys and connecting them with specialist services,” she said.
GMHBA will open a multi-disciplinary Hub in Geelong’s CBD in 2024.
