THE Geelong Small Business Festival is thrilled to invite everyone to the launch event, proudly sponsored by Morris.

This exciting evening promises to be a blend of innovation, inspiration, and local flavour, set against the stunning backdrop of The Pier Geelong, on August 8 from 5.30pm until 8pm.

This year’s event features special keynote speaker, Nadia Lee, the Founder and chief executive of ThatsMyFace. Nadia is a trailblazer in the field of identity and reputation management using artificial intelligence (AI).

Her company is renowned for developing the world’s first privacy-preserving facial recognition software, a revolutionary leap in biometric identity verification. During her talk, “AI is here: Are you ready?” Nadia will delve into the transformative potential of AI in identity management and share her extensive experience as an industry partner at Reclaim Coalition and contributor to the Content Authenticity Initiative alongside major players like Adobe and Microsoft. Her insights are set to inspire and equip attendees with a forward-looking perspective on the integration of AI in business.

In addition to the enlightening keynote, the event will feature The Paddock, an immersive experience highlighting the vibrant agribusiness sector of our region. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with local producers, sample their unique offerings, and learn about the sustainable practices that make Geelong’s agribusinesses stand out. This segment is designed to celebrate local entrepreneurs and provide a platform for them to showcase their products, from fresh produce to artisanal goods. It’s a fantastic opportunity to support local businesses and enjoy the rich flavours and innovations they bring to the table.

With limited spots available, those interested in attending are encouraged to book early to secure their place. This is not just an evening of networking and delicious food; it is a chance to gain invaluable insights into the future of AI and its applications in business.
