Lara Lions Car Show revs up
CARS and motorcycles will head to the Pirra Homestead on October 27 as the Lara Lions Car Show returns.
Running since 2013, the show aims to be the clubs biggest yet, welcoming cars and motorcycles, old and new, for the charity event.
Lara Lions member Maryanne Mullahy said it was a great family day out for the community.
“It’s an opportunity for anyone who has a passion for cars and motorcycles to come out and just share their passion with others at an amazing place.
“It’s not limited to classic cars, it’s all cars, so if you’re passionate about your new Mustang, whatever you’re passionate about, bring it along.”
Last year’s event was a hit with the community, with more than 130 vehicles and more than 500 attendees heading to the Homestead.
Profits from the event will be split three ways between charity partner Outpost, Lions projects and for the shows return next year.
Lara Lions member Sue Eyton said putting money back into Lara was what the club was all about.
“Quite a bit of money comes back into Lara because this is our community, so we put the money back into it.”
Four trophies will be up for grabs as part of the day, including the Spectators Choice, President’s Choice, Vendors Choice and Best Bike.
The Lara Lions thanked Pirra Homestead for hosting them on the grounds for the show each year.
Gates for the event open at 8am for all car and bike entrants, while spectators will be welcomed from 9am until the end of the show at 1pm.
Food trucks and a coffee van will also be on site throughout the day.
