FORMER Bellarine MP Lisa Neville has a new job, with the Victorian government appointing her as chair of Barwon Health’s board of directors.

Ms Neville has taken over from former Geelong Football Club chief executive officer and now Carlton Football Club CEO Brian Cook, who was appointed as the board’s chair in July 2017.

The other eight directors on the board, according to Barwon Health’s website, are Virginia Todd, Jason Trethowan, Professor Brendan Crotty, Jennifer Williams, Stephen Elder, Clare Amies, Susan Sdrinis and Ian Broadway.

Since leaving Parliament, Ms Neville has been appointed to the board of the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation and as the chair of the Port of Geelong Community Reference Group.

Ms Neville announced in June 2022 she had decided not to contest her seat at that year’s state election, giving way to Alison Marchant, who held Bellarine for Labor.

She was an MP for 20 years – 16 of those in government, 12 as a minister and four as a shadow minister.
