GREAT vintage machines from across the region were on display at Geelong Showgrounds for the Geelong Classic Truck & Machinery Show.

Last weekend’s two-day event welcomed more than 400 exhibitors and over 2,000 visitors, according to organiser Steve Moore.

“The event’s atmosphere over the two days was similar to years prior to the pandemic, which was really pleasing to see,” Mr Moore said.

“It went really well all in all, lots of families chose to come out and spend their weekends with us, and overall we received really positive feedback.”

The machinery show featured a wide array of vintage farm equipment including tractors, tools, and equipment.

Large trucks lined the showgrounds while visitors perused mechanical equipment and watched live displays.

Mr Moore said the usual favourite remained the tractor pull as expected.

“This event continues to play a large part in providing residents an insight into what machines were used back in the day, but also getting them out and about.

“We also facilitate opportunities for community groups and organisations a chance to display what they do and put on display the full range of groups available here in the City of Greater Geelong.

“It’s great to see this event back at full health after cancellations in 2021 and 2022.”
