MCGRATH Estate Agents has announced the opening of a new office in Armstrong Creek, marking a significant step in the company’s strategic expansion into regional Victoria.

The new office, McGrath Armstrong Creek, aims to tap into the area’s growing market potential and lifestyle appeal.

Head of franchise network Chris Mourd said Armstrong Creek was a lifestyle market with substantial growth potential.

“We regard Armstrong Creek as a wonderful and affordable lifestyle market that offers significant growth potential for our business,” Mr Mourd said.

“It also provides a good entry point to the Surf Coast and the Great Ocean Road.”

Armstrong Creek, with its proximity to both Melbourne and Geelong has become an appealing destination for young families, professionals, and first-time homebuyers.

The area is noted for its modern amenities, vibrant community atmosphere, and ongoing infrastructure development, including upgrades to road networks, public transportation, parks, recreational centres, schools, and essential services.

The new office results from a merger between McGrath Geelong | Newtown and Avenue Five, which will rebrand to McGrath.

This merger aims to strengthen McGrath’s presence in the region, combining local expertise and expanding their reach from Mount Duneed to Freshwater Creek.

Co-principals Sam Parsons and Elisha Jackman, along with their team of nine, bring a wealth of local property expertise to the new office.

Sam Parsons, who started Avenue Five out of a garage, has grown the business to join one of Australia’s leading real estate brands.

Mr Parsons said the area had a dynamic property market, noting a recent record sale of a 5-bedroom home in Mount Duneed for $1,380,000.

“Armstrong Creek area and surrounds continues to experience a broad range of buyers, from first home buyers to owner occupiers that are upsizing their family homes.

“We also continuously see downsizers from larger homes in the Geelong and Torquay/Surf Coast region, seeking a lower maintenance lifestyle and more affordable home.

“In the last four weeks we’ve been experiencing an increase in buyer inspection enquiries and attendees which is positively impacting sales numbers and values.

“The Armstrong Creek area has seen a rise of predominantly new build homes. In relation to our projects/land subdivision offering, we are extremely excited to be launching a range of new project options in large subdivision communities within the area over the next 3 to 6 months.

“These homes will be most popular amongst first home buyers and investors, where they can enter the market for under $600,000.”

Co-principal of McGrath Geelong | Newtown Jim Cross expressed excitement about the merger.

“We are delighted to welcome the talented team of Avenue Five to join forces with McGrath Geelong | Newtown.

“This gives us an even greater reach throughout the southern corridor from Geelong to Torquay and beyond, allowing McGrath to service the growing number of clients through this high growth corridor.

“Our team remain focused on providing six-star service to our clients. We believe this partnership with Sam, Elisha and their entire team is very much aligned with our own ethos and work ethic.

“It’s a very exciting time for our business growth and future expansion plans.”

The new office will manage a healthy rent-roll of 230 properties and will be located at 26/40 Main Street,

Armstrong Creek.
