AUSTRALIAN home builders Metricon have proudly extended their partnership with The Geelong Football Umpires League (GFUL) for another three years, taking their collaboration into a twentieth season in 2025.

The new three-year deal will see Metricon branding featured on all off and on-field umpire uniforms from Werribee, to Colac to the Bellarine Peninsula for the foreseeable future.

Geelong Football Umpires Chairman, David Chaston welcomed the extension of the partnership.

“Metricon’s ongoing commitment to the GFUL through until 2025 will mark a 20-year partnership, making it one of the longest standing in the region and we are delighted to strengthen this relationship,” Mr Chaston said.

“The partnership with Australia’s leading homebuilder is a natural fit, with the GFUL being the largest umpiring group in regional Victoria.”

Metricon’s Regional West Manager, Simon Taylor said the organisation looked forward to continuing their ties with supporting the local umpiring ranks.

“To be able to get behind and show some support to the game’s incredible umpires means a lot to us at Metricon, because without them, we wouldn’t have the game,” he said.

“The last 17 years as a major sponsor of the Geelong Football Umpires League is a testament to what a fantastic organisation they are.”
