WITH KENSINGTON RETIREMENT VILLAGE

THIS boutique Village comprises 71 modern, stylish and spacious brick homes comprising of two and three bedrooms with single and double garages, one or two bathrooms, delightfully planned kitchens and open plan living, all set in beautifully landscaped gardens. We’re talking about Kensington Retirement Village in Leopold.
The state-of-the-art Community Centre incorporates a large lounge, dining, games area with three billiard tables, theatre room and a well-stocked library. There is a gymnasium, heated indoor pool, spa and sauna. Numerous lifestyle-enhancing activities that you can choose to be involved in, for example; a singing group, line dancing, bowls, bocce, croquet, walking group, billiards, card games, bingo, art, craft, happy hour and social events.
The beautiful landscaped gardens are enhanced by a bowling green, bocce court, croquet court and a lovely enclosed BBQ area. Caravan and boat storage is available.
Residents Maureen and Terry have lived at Kensington Retirement Village for nine years and enjoy feeling settled and being part of the community.
“All residents are known to each other and when new residents arrive a warm welcome is there and help is always at hand,” Maureen and Terry said.
“Our homes are energy efficient, larger rooms with wide entry and internal doors, enabling easy movement around the home. There are no steps in the village and our mailboxes are at the end of each street. No driving to the clubhouse to get your mail.
“We have many small activity groups, and residents can always find one or two that takes their fancy, even pottering in the village grounds with a bit of gardening, pruning etc.
“When times are not going well for one of our village friends, there is always help on offer which maybe a meal, driving or just a cuppa, smile or hug to make someone feel better. This is the small village warmth that is always evident at Kensington Retirement Village.
“We may not have the new look, but we have the community and caring which money cannot buy.”

Kensington Retirement Village is in close proximity to public transport, Gateway Plaza shopping centre, medical facilities, local community centre and public library, Leopold Sportsmans Club and sealed walking tracks for those wishing to keep fit.
On Saturday, August 1 between 2pm and 4pm, everyone is invited to Kensington Retirement Village’s Open Day. Enjoy home-made afternoon tea and chat with some of the current residents about how they find living at Kensington Retirement Village.
Wander through the facilities at leisure and take a one on one tour of homes that suit your style, and the kind of retirement you’re looking for. Homes start at a low $365,000.
