GREATER opportunities for women to surf in a recreational and competitive setting are on the way in 2024.

Surfing Victoria has teamed up with industrial construction leaders Coffey Testing to deliver Surf Her Way Women and Girls Surf Sessions at URBNSURF in Melbourne.

Coffey Testing specialise in construction material testing services and are skilled in the delivery of aggregate, concrete and soil testing.

Coffey Testing will also become the presenting partner of the Victorian Teams Titles event, one of the longest running Boardrider Club events in the country.

Surfing Victoria chief executive officer Adam Robertson said he was stoked to welcome Coffee Testing on board.

“The partnership will help us provide more opportunities for women and girls to participate in surfing,” he said.

“Between the two events, there is the opportunity for women and girl surfers of all ages and abilities to be involved, ultimately leading to a more inclusive surf culture and community.”

Coffey Testing general manager – Northern NSW and VIC, Kerriana Christiansen said it was a pleasure to partner with Surfing Victoria.

“This partnership replicates our passion to not only provide females with an opportunity to grow, learn and support each other to have confidence, it allows us to give back to our local Australian sporting community.”

Further details and dates for the Surf Her Way Surf Sessions presented by Coffey Testing will be released early 2024.
